On Saturday, April 16th, Penumbra Foundation, located in New York City, will be offering a Kallitype workshop. Considered the “poor man’s platinum print,” the Kallitype is an affordable option that provides a tonal quality comparable to that of a platinum print.
On the 16th and 17th, Penumbra will also be holding a digital negative workshop where students will learn how to set up their digital darkrooms and create negatives with the proper curves for various processes, including gum bichromate, Kallitype, Cyanotype, Platinum, Palladium, VanDyke, Gravure, and others.
