Penumbra Foundation, located in New York City, will be offering two workshops this coming weekend, October 22nd and 23rd:
Just in time for Halloween, Hocus Focus will introduce students to the history and technique of spirit photography, which was all the rage during the modern spiritualist movement begun in the mid-1800s. The wet plate process will be used to recreate the methods used in spirit photography. For further details, please click here.
New Orleans Blue is a cyanotype workshop taught by Robert Schaefer on location in New Orleans. Students will tour the city and use digital capture methods to make digital negatives that will then be used to create cyanotypes. For more information, please click here.
