Light Work, located in Syracuse, New York, will be holding an opening reception for Eric Gottesman’s exhibition If I Could See Your Face, I Would Not Need Food (Ka Fitfitu Feetu). With this project, Gottesman photographed people in Ethiopia who were HIV positive, shooting with a large format camera, and obscuring his subjects’ faces and identities. Accompanying each image is transcribed text of each person describing his or her experience living with the disease.
