The Museum of Fine Arts Boston will be showing Memory Unearthed: The Lodz Ghetto Photographs of Henryk Ross from now through July 30th. While working as an official photographer during Nazi rule, Ross also documented the brutal realities of day-to-day life in Lodz in order to preserve a record of the tragedy. He buried his negatives in 1944 and returned after Lodz’s liberation to find that more than half of the original 6000 survived.
This is an exhibition not to be missed.
