Juried from an international open call by John Caperton, the Jensen Bryan Curator of The Print Center, the works on view in Living Image demonstrate the breadth, depth, and delight of contemporary analog photography. Showcasing an array of traditional and alternative photographic methods, Living Image brings together artists from the region, across the county, and beyond.

Living Image is supported by a grant from the Penn Treaty Special Services District. The warm and lively opening reception at Gravy Studio included a juror’s talk by John Caperton, refreshments generously provided by Russet and Founders Brewing; and exciting prizes sponsored by Indie Photo Lab, The Photo Review, and Velvet Glove. The grand prize winner received a $250 cash award and will show a larger body of work in our annual small group invitational, spring 2018.
Living Image exhibition events included: a First Friday Preview, an Opening Reception with Juror’s Talk by John Caperton, CFEVA‘s Philadelphia Open Studio Tour, the 2nd Street Festival Arts Crawl, an Informal Group Critique for the community to share their own work, a Polaroid Transfer Workshop with Matthew Ashby, and a Wet Collodion Tintype Demo with CJ Harker.
