Gold Street Studios Workshops & Gallery, located in Victoria, Australia, has the following workshops coming up in the next few weeks:
On March 2nd, a one-day salt printing workshop will introduce students to the process, including digital negative making, paper choices, coating, exposing, and processing.
On March 3rd, a one-day albumen printing workshop will cover the same topics as above, but applied to the albumen printing process.
On March 4th and 5th, a two-day carbon printing workshop will introduce participants to this labor-intensive, but utterly unique process, teaching them how to make and sensitize tissue, expose and transfer images, and finish their carbon prints.
On March 8th and 9th, for those who haven’t had their fill of carbon printing, the two-day Carbon on Metal workshop will have students transferring their carbon images onto various surfaces, such as plastic, glass, stainless steel, brass, and copper.
And beginning on March 11th, for the truly dedicated, a three-day Carbon Four Colour workshop will teach students how to introduce color into their carbon printing through the use of CMYK tissues, registration negatives, and pin registration.
