Historic Process Lecture + Demo at Gravy Studio on February 23rd

Our dear friends at Gravy Studio in Philly are hosting a day of historic process photography on February 23rd.  From 10am – 12pm, Alice Cutler will be presenting a lecture called “Useful Knowledge to Commodity: a History of Early Photography in Philadelphia, 1839-1851,” where she will discuss how early photography was transformed by scientists and entrepreneurs in Philly.  In the afternoon, Robert Collier Beam will present a wet plate collodion demo, after which he’ll be available for portrait sessions.
