Jackson Fine Art, locate in Atlanta, Georgia, is hosting an opening reception on July 12th from 6 – 8pm for the following exhibitions:
A retrospective of Ansel Adams’ landscape work will be on view in the Viewing Room.
Psychscapes by Terri Lowenthal “investigates the sublime expanse of land and sky romanticized in the still-potent mythology of Utopian California” and features “single-exposure, in-camera compositions that utilize a special optics developed by the artist to compress vast spaces into evocative environments.” Lowenthal will be in attendance at the opening reception and will also being giving a talk on July 13th at 11am.
Danny Lyon’s The Bikeriders became a “seminal work of New Journalism when the photographer documented some of the real-life subjects that helped invent the ethos conjured by Loewenthal’s project.”
