Mastering Black-and-White Printing with Vincent Feldman

Date/Time
April 23, 2016
10:00 am - 6:00 pm

We are excited to offer a new series of intimate workshops led by photographer Vincent Feldman.  Each workshop will be a full-day clinic for people at all levels of experience who desire to see a marked improvement in their gelatin silver print work.  Whether you’re just beginning or you’re an experienced printer seeking to break through an aesthetic plateau, these workshops will provide you with the unique opportunity to work under the guidance of a master of the black and white photographic print.

The first workshop in the series will highlight the art of the split filter technique and its utilization for seamless dodging and burning.  Discussion and guidance will be aimed at managing compositional control, tonal balance, and recognizing the subtleties that define a great print.

Workshops will be held in the studio and darkroom of Vincent Feldman, housed in an 1890’s Police Patrol carriage house centrally located in Center City Philadelphia.  Space is limited to six participants per workshop.
