Attention Members!

Share the passion and joy of traditional photography with your fellow members from the region and across the continent in The Halide Project’s second annual Member Print Exchange. The deadline to send prints is extended to Saturday, December 1st.

We are also pleased to offer a juried, traveling exhibition opportunity, presented in collaboration with Connections Gallery in Toronto, Canada. The two-group exhibition will be on display in The Halide Project Gallery in March and Toronto’s Connections Gallery in April, as part of the Contact Photo Festival. Traditional prints of all kinds welcome, including silver gelatin and alternative process. The deadline for entry is also Saturday, December 1st.

For guidelines and details on the events listed above, check your inbox for details or write to us at info@thehalideproject.org with MEMBER EVENTS in the subject line.

Are you a dedicated practitioner or appreciator of the traditional, pre-digital photographic arts? Now you can show your support for the medium and connect with others through our Halide Project membership program.

Supporting Membership is open to anyone, whether you are a working artist or simply interested in learning more about analog photography. As a member, you will receive our annual printed publication highlighting industry news and featuring the work of contemporary artists whose work is handcrafted using chemistry and light. In addition, you are invited to participate in our annual print exchange by sending in a small edition of prints and receiving an assortment of work by other members in return!

Most importantly, your membership provides us with the annual support we need to carry out our mission. We are committed to fostering the medium of traditional and alternative process photography through exhibitions, low-cost workshops, free events, and artist-supporting services such as online resources, photo field trips, residency options, and an affordable community darkroom workspace opening in 2018.
