Melanie King is an artist and curator based in Ramsgate, UK, and whose work explores the intersection of art and science.  She is co-Director of super/collider, Lumen Studios, and founder of the London Alternative Photography Collective.

In addition to showing her work extensively internationally, Melanie fosters relationships with renowned art and photography institutions, such as the TATE Modern, Whitechapel Gallery, and The Photographers’ Gallery, as well as science institutions like the School of Metallurgy and Materials ad The University of Birmingham (where she is currently an artist-in-residence).

Melanie will discuss her work and her research into more sustainable darkroom practices.   A Q&A session will follow her presentation.
