In this workshop, students will learn the fundamentals of B&W film processing. We will cover how to mix chemistry, load film, and process a roll of film. Working in the darkroom is both a technical and artistic challenge, and this workshop will give you the opportunity to explore both as a part of your photographic practice.
For this workshop, please bring an exposed roll of Ilford HP5 film (either 35mm or medium format) and a binder such as the Print File Black Safe-T-Binder to store their sleeved negatives in.
Negative sleeves are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own if they have them. The Halide Project will provide all necessary chemistry.
