Support The Halide Project
The Halide Project is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by a community of practitioners and enthusiasts who care about film and alternative photographic processes.
Your gift keeps analog and historic process photography accessible in Philadelphia through our darkroom, workshops, exhibitions, and public programs.
Make a one-time or recurring donation using the options provided. Choose where your gift goes:
General Fund
Supports overall operations and lets us put your gift where it’s needed most.
This includes rent, utilities, insurance, modest staff stipends, and other nonprofit operating costs that keep our darkroom and programs running.
Darkroom Fund
Supports our community darkroom and process-based workspace.
Your gift helps cover chemistry, paper, equipment maintenance and repairs, safety supplies, and subsidized access so people can use the darkroom regularly.
Exhibition Fund
Supports exhibitions and artist-focused programming.
This fund helps pay for open calls, juror fees, artist honoraria (when possible), installation costs, and public events that share analog and alternative process work with a wider audience.
Annual Supporting Membership
At $40 per year, our Annual Supporting Membership is a simple way to support Halide all year, receive discounts on select programming, and stay in touch about upcoming opportunities.
A decade of Halide
In July 2025, The Halide Project celebrated its 10th anniversary.
To mark this milestone, we launched our Gratitude Campaign to honor everyone who has been part of our journey since 2015—darkroom members and monitors, workshop participants, exhibition jurors and awardees, board members, and long-standing sponsors.
Your support today helps us build on these first ten years and move into our next decade of programming for traditional, historic, and analog photographic processes.
Thank you to our funders:
